Since we have two weeks till hack night, might as get started since I think it might take a while to organise. So I was thinking maybe up to three games. So let me know what hacks you want to race in. You have till Saturday 12pm EDT to vote, then we'll work on goals if needed. Here are the games for you to chose from:

S1 RttO, S2 Secret Rings, SRB2.

I was tempted to vote for either Sonic Before the Sequel, but there's so many levels it would probably make the race take upwards of 2 hours.

Amy, RR & Megamix. I want to say BtS too, but in it's current state Perilous Paradise is almost impossible without a top notch computer.

If you mean Sonic 3 Master Edition, maybe as I did see it on the SRL list and if people want to race it. However, I can't seem to find the ROM for it anywhere.

i'm not real big on fan games, but if we do race srb2 we should probably try to have a shorter goal than just beat the game since that game takes a long time if you're not very good at it

Genuine question here; are we having 3 separate races for the 3 highest voted games, or 1 race where the objective is "beat all 3 games".

I am way more interested in the latter, but I'll still turn up and race if it's the former.

Does it matter how it's tracked on SRL? I don't really know much about it other than it's convenient to use and the staff are dicks.

Good to know that it could actually support it as a multi-game race though. Guess we should vote on it!?

The idea of racing through all 3 games to me sounds quite enjoyable - the only problem is that it may alienate people who only want to play 1 or 2 of them. For example, I really don't fancy playing SRB2 if I can help it. Personally, I would race it in an all 3 games race if that was the decision because I think the fun of doing that would outweigh my dislike of SRB2. However, it can't be guaranteed that everyone would do the same if they didn't want to race one of the games.

i agree they should be separate races, i don't really want to play for several hours without a bathroom or food break which will probably happen with srb2 in the mix since that game is hard as balls

If people dislike long goals to begin with, I doubt a race with SRB2 and 2 other fan games will fair well

One possible idea here is that maybe next time we do this we say it's a 3 in 1 race from the start and choose our games accordingly.

Just something to consider, the expected run time for these 3 games is probably about the same as the Generations race from a fresh file, from which no one dropped out, apart from SJ, who left early.
